Interesting. My choices:
Picture – Trial of Chicago 8- I know ola lot of people don’t like it, it’s really about witty dialog but that’s good enough for me.
, Director -Promising Young Woman – a brilliantly directed urban thriller.
Original screenplsy-Sorkin for Chicago. Minari was the worst of the BP nominees along with Judas.
Adapted- The White Tiger- a powerful study of class divisions. The aFather was too brief. Actor- Hopkins. Boseman in a lot of years but no one could have done what Hopkins did.
Actress- Mulligan narrowly over Davis. McDormand was good but it’s the same grumpy performance she always gives.
Supporting Actress- Maria from Borat easily although Jung was very good as was Coleman. The Close movie was hideously bad.
Supporting Actor- I agree! Raci.
