hello. this is one of my favorite books. spy thrillers and cosmic horror are two of my favorite genres, and this story does an excellent job at both. to be honest, i’d give anything for someone to produce a live-action miniseries of ‘declare’. you definitely have to read it a second time to catch all the things missed during your first read. i’m actually halfway through my third reading of the book right now! side note — also not a fan of ‘the anubis gate’. i agree with mr. williams on not really caring for the main protagonist.
