During the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, I joined Adrian and Matt from Spectology for a draft of our favorite underrated SFF movies.
As it happens, each of us had not seen at least one entry on another person’s list. So I decided to bring the guys on for a follow-up in which we all watched a movie we’d previously missed.
If you want to listen to the original episode, that’s where the spoiler-lite discussion happens. The Spectology site seems to be down, but their feed is still active, and you can find the episode here:

The movies we discuss in this follow-up are (in order, with time codes):
Dark City (1998) – 4:07
Ladyhawke (1985) – 36:57
Sunshine (2007) – 1:06:32
And of course if you want a deeper dive on Ladyhawke, look back in this feed for the panel discussion I did with my sister Erin, JW Wartick, and Sarah Elkins, or find the video here:
Yay, discussion of two movies I love! Saving the discussion of Sunshine for later (never saw it).
It’s one of my favorite movies, though I understand when people don’t love it the way I do.
