Alec Nevala-Lee, author of the stellar biographies Astounding and Inventor of the Future joins me for a discussion on Isaac Asimov, the author and his work. All discussions of the works mentioned stay fairly spoiler-lite.

Asimov 101:

  • Foundation (kind of the whole book series)
  • “Nightfall”
  • The Caves of Steel
  • “The Last Question”

Advanced Asimov:

  • The End of Eternity
  • “The Bicentennial Man”
  • Asimov’s many memoirs and nonfiction books.
  • Any other Asimov favorites we didn’t discuss?

  1. Excellent episode! Because of it I have placed more Asimov books on my to-read list, specifically, End of Eternity and A Choice of Catastrophes. I look forward to more of these type episodes. I believe I heard Bradbury and Heinlein as upcoming episodes in the series?

    1. They’re on the list, but the next up is going to be Patricia McKillip, out the first of January. I’ve also got someone for PKD and Jules Verne.
